Escape maps, compasses and files were inserted into MONOPOLY® game boards smuggled into POW camps inside Germany during World War II. Real money for escapees was slipped into the packs of MONOPOLY® money.

SmugMug > popular all-time > Maeve is ready for Mardi Gras!

I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do for my daily, when P. A. Larry suggested that Maeve and her beads were perfect for a Mardi Gras shot. Not only does he lug my camera bag around, and carry the tripod for miles to waterfalls, the man comes up with ideas too. No wonder I made him my Photo Assistant. :-)

Oh the horror of the self-portrait! I wanted to come up with something creative like Stephen Lee; riding in on a yellow duck...or something like Christine hiding under the blanket...but I'm just not that talented. All I could do was cringe.

Whoops - didn't mean to give myself stars. Accident.

I got this early this morning before I went to work...hoping to get a better one when the weather is better. It rained all day today and then tonight we had really heavy rain and lots of lightning...so therefore...no internet time for me!! Will catch up with everyone tomorrow.
SmugMug > popular all-time > Clearly, this image has had considerable post-processing. I don't even remember all the steps I took to get to this point. I was aiming for a sort of super-HDR effect. I don't know if I like the image or not. Please give me a real critique on this one. What do you like, if anything. What do you dislike. How would you suggest it be improved? Thanks for your help.
