Military keyword > wharton > Various shots from Priesterwald Kaserne in Heilbronn, which was merged with Schlieffen Kaserne after WWII to form Wharton Barracks.  The 237th Engineer Battalion was housed in most of these buildings.
Military keyword > wharton > This is the cross monument on Wharton Barracks, commemorating Polish people that died during World War II. The monument was erected in 1945/46 and was classified in 1998 as a cultural monument. It was moved to another location due to the opening of the Schwabenhof Business Park in 1999, where it received a new foundation in a nice setting.
