Life was much easier after learning the Korean alphabet. It was designed by one person and is very rational. There are 26 letters. Each square box has a consonant and 2 vowels. It is completely phonetic.
 I memorized it while standing in a chow line.
That allowed me to catch the right bus.
Almost all product labels were printed in English.

Strangely, English was the official language of Korea. All laws were printed in English, yet English is not the official language here, where we actually speak it.

I thought I would make money buying gold in Korea, becaus it was much cheaper per ounce. Problem is, the Korean ounce used for gold is 1/10th of the ounce used internatioanlly. So gold in Korea was actually super expensive.
