I was one of the first people off the rotator coming home and I positioned myself to capture everyone touching down back in the states for the first time in three months.  There was a mix of a lot of emotions, but I really think the expression of indifference was captured perfectly here.  You’ll see that in a lot of old dogs, like the Army Lt Col in the foreground to the left.  I was starting to feel it too, which I took as my cue to leave the Air Force.
