It was altered with the lightening bolt to represent the guys from the signal site that brought us all of those wonderful "Gangbuster for Gangbuster" messages that we were so fond of decoding! Of course the NATO Symbol above and the wings for the wonderful helicopters that came and took or brought us more "Silver Bullets".
Military keyword > det > A T-Shirt Design that I freely admit to "borrowing" from the 2nd USAFAD Sign that was out front in the parking lot.  Basically says it all when it came to the mission that the Detachment had, "In service with the German Army".  A "big seller" at the German Language School that I help run and teach at for Civial Affair Reservists that were going over to work with the Bundeswehr Reserves.
