Military keyword > air > Vegas has some incredible sunrises, along with just about any other extremely dry climate, so it was a nice surprise to catch these clouds rolling off the field. I snapped this shot just as we were about to get back on the jet and head back to Robins AFB and am really glad that I had my SLR on me, right place right time!

Military keyword > air > B-1s eventually made their way over to our base overseas and every reconnaissance and tanker flyer quickly became very envious of the crews that flew these bad boys. A very slick jet with an awesome profile, this shot comes off as a little dry at first, but I think the contrast between the jet and the berms brings it together well.
Military keyword > air > One of the cooler things we got to do in my time with the JSTARS program was air refueling. You would not believe how close two 300,000 pound aircraft get when transferring fuel from the tanker to our jet. At the time I thought this was a pretty arbitrary shot, but the low aperture and moderate shutter speed turned out a very sharp picture, which I think can be attributed primarily to the lighting present. I have ton of these shots, so please check back if you like what you see.
