If friends or family members also have SmugMug accounts, you can link to their SmugMug homepages from your SmugMug homepage. You can also grant them special privileges.
Here's how:
- Make sure you're logged in.
- Go to your friend's SmugMug homepage. Here's what you'll see next to their name:
- Click either the friend or family link and you'll see it change to:
Note: The friends & family box lives in your Control Panel until you move it to your homepage.
Now what?
In addition to flaunting your friends and family on your SmugMug homepage, you can grant them special access to your photos.
- In your customize gallery settings, you can allow friends and/or family to edit captions and keywords for that gallery.
- If you have a site-wide password in place, let your friends and family bypass it. You'll see that option on the page where you set or change your password.
W00t! I have a fan!
You might find "fans" in your friends & family box. Those SmugMuggers have marked you as their friend or family, but you haven't yet done them the same honor. Your visitors won't see fans, so don't just bask in your popularity... go mark your fans as friends or family!
