This is a Luftwaffe P Mod 37 Kal.7.65mm handgun manufactured by Femaru Fegyuer Es Gepgyar.Caliber:7.65mm Frommer,Magizine:7,Action:Blowback/Single,Total Length:182mm/7.17 inches,Barrel Length:110mm/4.33 inches,Weight Unloaded:770g/27.2oz.This pistol was a development of an earlier model from 1937.It is a blowback-operated pistol with a Browning operation whereby the barrel was retained in the frame.The Model 1937 had an external hammer and there was an extended finger rest at the base of the hand grip.There was a grip safety at the back of the hand grip on the left side,as requested by the German Luftwaffe,and the marking on the slide was changed from Femaru Fegyuer Es Gepgyar 37 to P Mod.37 Kal 7.65mm with Germany Waffenaenment acceptance stamp.They concealed the manufactured in accordance with the German system production to 1944 with approx. 85,000 being manufactured. indicates the model was part of a contract between the Hungarians and the German Government.My Grandfather took this pistol off of a Nazi soldier after he took his life.
