> After the commissioning of the Samuel Eliot Morison (FFG-13), I was often required by other Perry class Frigates to resolve technical problems with navigational systems. I was requested by the Flag ship Oliver Hazard Perry (FFG-7) in December of 1980. I was one of the few trained in all aspects of the Perry class systems and was needed for an extended deployment. This invitation is a result of the friends I made with other members of the commissioning crews that transfered to thier hometowns.
